BREAKING: French Senate approves burka ban, 246:1 The French Senate passed the anti-burka bill into law today. 246 Senators voted for, 1 against. The bill prohibits wearing the burka in public and fines all violators. The bill was approved by the lower house in July. It's next hurdle will probably be the Constitutional Court.
